About the Role:

We are looking for an employment lawyer to join our growing Legal Department as Sr. Counsel, EMEA. The role is remote and we are looking for the role-holder to be based in either France, Germany or the UK. In this role, you will counsel CrowdStrike’s business leaders and the human resources team on international employment matters.  The role involves all aspects of the employer-employee relationship and you will provide advice on recruiting, performance management, dismissal, internal investigations, employee privacy and much more.  You will help resolve pre-litigation disputes and have the opportunity to manage outside counsel around the world.  You will collaborate with stakeholders to manage interesting and complex projects from inception to implementation.  The position will report to the Senior Lead Counsel EMEA, Employment.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as one of two CrowdStrike employment lawyers in the EMEA region (19 countries) and provide additional support for other regions as necessary.
  • Be a trusted adviser and contact for our HR team on a wide-range of employee relations matters as and when they arise.
  • Draft and review employment agreements, separation agreements, and corporate policies.
  • Advise on benefits, pension, and leaves of absence.
  • Manage litigation for employment law disputes.
  • Support the Sales, Finance, Payroll, Benefits, and Equity teams with various projects.
  • Assist in the company’s global expansion initiative by preparing the key employment documents and satisfying local legal requirements.
  • Support the Privacy team on Employee Privacy Notices, Data Subject Requests and other employee privacy issues.
  • Work with the Compensation team to draft, review, and revise variable compensation plans.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to conduct trainings.
  • Stay up-to-date on developments to laws throughout the region.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Ideally 7+ years of legal experience including a significant portion at a major law firm.
  • Strong expertise in employment law of the home country and knowledge of or a willingness to learn and master the law across the EMEA region and other international countries as needed.
  • Proven track record of completing projects independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate risk and provide practical and commercial guidance for a fast-paced global company.
  • Experience reviewing and analysing issues under GDPR and other privacy laws.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and team-oriented mentality.
  • You must be a qualified lawyer in the UK, Germany or France.
