About the role
As Technical Product Manager, you will be a member of a team that is responsible for the product management and application support for the “Teamcenter Simulation” product.
Teamcenter Simulation enables users to easily manage and orchestrate simulation and test processes, the input and result data, tools and workflows across the engineering domains (3D CAE, System Simulation, …) in tight connection to the product lifecycle – a capability generally referred to as Simulation Process and Data Management (SPDM).
SPDM with Teamcenter Simulation is a part of the Simcenter portfolio developed by the Simulation and Test Solutions (STS) segment in Siemens Digital Industries Software (https://www.sw.siemens.com/ ).
As data are becoming increasingly recognized as highly valuable assets at all our customers, SPDM is rapidly becoming a critical capability serving as well the needs for traceability by keeping models and data from simulation and physical testing secure and connected to the product lifecycle, as well as by making the same data easily available for comparison, referencing, knowledge sharing, and closed loop verification management.
Our ambition is to lead the market with a seamless user experience, powerful workflow automation and highly interactive results reporting. Specifically for this position, you will be responsible for the integration of Teamcenter Simulation with selected domains of simulation and physical testing, including advanced, AI powered data analytics and visualization.
Responsibilities
In this position as Technical Product Manager you will make sure that our product continues to address current and future challenges of the SPDM market and you will achieve that by inbound as well as outbound activities.
Inbound support:
Interacting with internal customers (sales, services, industry teams, applications owners etc.) and external customers in understanding the business needs and requirements
Creating the strategy and prioritizing the roadmap to maximize user value as well as business revenue
Translating and capturing the roadmap elements into capabilities, features and stories following the SAFe methodology
Communicating those to the development teams during planning phases
Continuously interacting, testing and providing feedback to the development team throughout the implementation of projects
Assisting with the product documentation
Capturing the new features through industrial use cases in customer facing marketing collateral
Outbound support includes:
Delivering technical presentations and product demonstrators
Training pre-sales, services and support teams on existing and new features
Supporting portfolio developers, business development teams, sales and pre-sales teams in customer pursuits
Supporting services with implementation and deployment
Assisting product support teams
You will also support our go-to-market by:
- Performing competitive analysis
- Assisting in the development of collateral for the campaigns and technical marketing initiatives
- Participating and presenting at internal and external webinars, seminars and user conferences
- Promoting the product through writing blog posts, posting videos, contributing in discussion forums etc.
- Assisting marketing with case studies
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone who is comfortable with interacting with many stakeholders such as other product managers, customers, the sales organization and who has the ambition to make an impact by delivering high end solutions to the market.
Specific qualifications we will be looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master is a plus) or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience in engineering verification and validation processes in either automotive, aerospace or defense industry. Hands-on experience in using Simcenter solutions for simulation and physical testing is a plus. Hands-on experience with cloud-native applications in engineering domain (CAD, Simulation) is a plus
- Strong plus to have experience in applying PDM (Product Data Management) or SPDM (Simulation Process & Data Management) in production environment, preferably using Siemens’ Teamcenter PLM, either as end user or in a consulting context
- Experience in defining software end user requirements and software release acceptance criteria. Experience with Agile SAFe is a plus
- Strong written, communication and presentation skills in English
- Able to travel occasionally
