Job Description

As our Booker you will, among other things, take care of renting our films to our customers and implement the rental specifications in consultation with the Commercial Director, with the aim of fully exploiting the commercial potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain an ongoing commercial relationship with a selection of small and medium-sized independent cinemas
  • Place targeted and appropriate films with a panel of customers by promoting them via email, telephone or external meetings
  • Identify and respond quickly to process changes and strategic priorities
  • Participate in the regular collection of French box-office figures and record them in the systems in place (i.e. MIDAS/MAGIC)
  • Regularly update the internal release calendar vs. the competition, and communicate any changes externally (Rentrak/CBO…)
  • Participate in the organization of projections for operations and feedback reporting where appropriate
  • Produce appropriate presentations (Powerpoint/Keynote) for all meetings related to local distribution or with the Head Office/ Studio

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Film Booker is highly desirable
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, cultivating client relationships and securing favorable deals that contributed significantly to the company’s revenue growth
  • Highly numerate – ability to evaluate options for action and reach sound conclusions
  • High level of PC literacy, including Microsoft Excel in particular
  • Collaborative, willing to participate and effective member of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure
  • Self-motivated, proactive and passionate
  • Strong planning and control skills, able to establish a systematic course of action to achieve an objective effectively and efficiently
  • Appreciation for the need to monitor and control plans
