The Business Support Management (BSM) function is tasked with a variety of business administration and control responsibilities in support of the Corporate & Investment Bank. As a Business Support Manager – Associate, you will liaise between Business Management, Business Control Managers, individuals within a specific business or function and business-aligned, Corporate or third-party technology and support providers. As business connectivity is essential in this role, team-members are aligned to and co-located with the business or function they are assigned to support. This is primarily an in-office role, in support of CIB teams in Paris and elsewhere in Europe.

Job Responsibilities

  • Onboard new joiners – partner with hiring managers in advance of a new joiner’s arrival to determine and request required desktop hardware, applications, data subscriptions and physical accesses
  • Off-board leavers – work with managers to ensure that all leavers have accesses removed at the appropriate time
  • Manage transfers – assist managers to ensure that requests for the addition or removal of accesses, permissions and subscriptions from transferring employees are managed as appropriate
  • Respond to ad hoc queries and requests for access to additional/non-standard applications, market data services etc.
  • Manage various monthly audit and control procedures
  • Participate in various ad hoc business aligned projects: productivity initiatives, technology refreshes, internal audit processes and reporting and compliance reviews as required.
  • Manage floorplans and ensure that that business demand for space is met.
  • Partner with the Global Real Estate to manage location strategy projects.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong and independent problem solving skills
  • Customer service / client facing experience is helpful
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to listen well and influence others
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise multiple assignments, and bring tasks to completion
  • A self-starter who is well organised and consistently meets deliverables
  • Comfortable leading an initiative or playing a support role on the broader team

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • French language skills not essential but a distinct advantage (a firm commitment to develop business level French will be required if not already fluent)
