Director People & Culture (m/f/d)

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a visionary Director People & Culture (m/f/d) to lead our HR team and help further scale it while maintaining our great culture which is the core of everything we do.

In this role, you will foster a strong culture that helps our people succeed and thrive, while creating the systems that help us scale exceptional performance. We’re looking for somebody with proven success in mid- to late-stage startups who is excited by the opportunity to flex between strategic and tactical responsibilities on a daily basis. You will work directly with our CEO and leadership team, and our internal team to bring your vision and recommendations to life.

 

YOUR TASKS

  • Partner with senior leadership to build and support happy, high-performing teams aligned with Appinio’s business strategy and values; you will create and deliver a complete human resources capability that can scale as the company grows
  • Design and deploy strategies, tactics, and tools to attract and recruit exceptional talent; Strengthen our reach and access to a diverse and qualified talent pool; and support hiring managers to effectively onboard and integrate new hires
  • Support, embody and develop a culture that reinforces our mission and values, sustains morale, encourages feedback and continuous improvement, embraces and is resilient to growth, and attracts incredible new talent; Champion a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace and design and implement practices to support their achievement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior and junior members of the team to increase team effectiveness; Review and improve performance management approaches to develop and retain existing staff; and create individual (e.g. coaching opportunities and feedback) and group solutions (e.g. training programs) to improve capabilities at all levels of the organization

YOUR PROFILE

  • 6+ years of experience in Human Resources or People Operations, including experience of payroll, administration tasks & talent acquisition
  • Bonus: Good knowledge of German labor law

  • You have a strong desire to use your skills to have a positive impact on people. With your passion for people you nurture a positive work environment
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have an ability to create structure out of ambiguity
  • Sophisticated communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
