Software Developer, Tech Lead

Job Title Software Developer, Tech Lead Job Purpose What does a great Software Development Tech Lead do? In this role, you’ll use your extensive knowledge of programming and development to support implementation specialists and our greater network of clients. You’ll gain a wide variety of experiences in both programming and support for our content management systems. As a member of a team of programmer analysts working creating new features to our enterprise content management platform. You will design, develop, unit test the application code. You will also be responsible for validating, deploying of your code to the server and automating the testing. Your efforts will be rewarded with a successful quality delivery and enhanced client satisfaction. As the Tech Lead, you can expect the following responsibilities:

• Develops features across multiple modules within our application, including collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and deployment
• Analyzes and amends production software errors in a timely and accurate fashion, and provides status reports where required
• Writes automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) to make sure features are robust and maintainable. Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Jasmine, Cucumber, and Fluent Lenium, or equivalents
• Provides the design for the requirements and applies them to implementation.
• Provides engineering support (when necessary) to the implementation team when they are deploying, configuring and supporting systems for customers
• Ability to provide transparency into technical user stories and justify the value for these user stories
• Collaborates with Testers to build applications that can be tested in an automated manner
• Collaborates with Information Development (Technical Writer) group to come up with appropriate documentation
• Self-motivated to research newest technologies and advances in programming. Utilizes this research in furthering our Products and Platform
• Engages with Product Management and other function customers to understand and address their needs

Required and Preferred skills and experience under consideration:

• Minimum of 8-10 years of meaningful programming knowledge/skills or experience in Advanced Web technologies.
• Minimum 8 years high quality software development skills principally in Microsoft Web Server Framework and jQuery
• (C++ is a plus)
• Experience in financial services/banking environment
• 5 years’ experience in leading the teams and mentoring junior developers
• 5 years of experience of in design and architecture
• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field preferred
• Programming Experience with modern UI technologies, AngularJS and higher, Type Script, HTML, Javascript, Microsoft Web Framework and entity framework. Spring Boot, Cloud, and Hibernate are plus.
• Good experience in Windows Server management and deployment of software.
• Cloud Foundry deployment will be an added advantage
• 5 years of experience with database (SQL Server or MySQL) required
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum is required – Agile tools (like TFS or JIRA) is preferable.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management platforms like OnBase or Imagio preferred
