Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing Learning and Development initiatives across assigned area(s) of responsibility (Greater Chicago and FL regions) to maximize performance and meet business goals. Manages data to ensure the expected impact to increase productivity and retention. Oversees and participates in the development high quality, cost-effective programs for all employees. Provides leadership and direction for team which may include multiple functional areas. Develops and implements strategies for functional area(s). May have responsibility for developing and managing budget.
Core Responsibilities:
Leverages deep L & D expertise and demonstrates knowledge of CU Curriculum, assets, service offerings, and learning technologies to consult with business on needed learning solutions, deployment considerations, and business impact strategies.
Collaborates with University staff, senior management, and other team members to help diagnose training needs, propose curriculum design/learning solutions, or development considerations, and deploy relevant solutions for business units.
Evaluates current Trainer performance metrics from a global perspective and identifies performance improvement opportunities. Assists with evaluating the current status of Trainer knowledge, skill, and ability that exists within the transformed Comcast University.
Provides senior leadership to teams across areas of responsibility, with a focus on team engagement, performance and talent management, skill development, and retention
Evaluates effectiveness of training programs through surveys, reporting, and monitoring of the linkage between curriculum and improved learner job performance.
Participates as either team member or project manager on special projects as needed
Works with upper management to develop communication plans that inform, set expectations, and facilitate discussion and feedback to achieve a smooth transition through the Comcast University transformation.
Participates with budget and billing processes, resources, and records management.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Job Specification:
Bachelor’s Degree in HR Development, Learning & Development; M.S. degree strongly preferred
Professional Certifications in talent assessments like Insights or Birkman extremely favorable
Hands on experience with HMM, LinkedIn Learning, or other learning asset services preferred
Exposure to Leadership Development strategies and methodologies also extremely favorable
Generally requires 10+ years experience
