We are seeking a talented individual to lead our French third-party logistics (3PL) team and play a pivotal role in the evolution of our EU External Fulfilment (EF) fulfillment center network. With approximately 35 sites operating flexible solutions, EF provides network capacity solve, special fulfilment, and market expansion solutions across EU. As part of our team tenets, we strive to be proactive, implement measure-able and scale-able solutions and combine knowledge from 3PLs, AMZN and worldwide industry champions while continuously innovating new solutions.

Overview:
External Fulfillment supports EU Retail + FBA Operations in identifying the best ways to fulfill products that Amazon FCs (Fulfillment Centers) cannot currently support. External Fulfillment i) works with retail and network planning teams to prioritize potential solutions, ii) scopes, develops and coordinates the execution with the 3PLs and iii) manages the daily operations.
The Senior Manager FR 3PL will be responsible for driving country level 3PL strategy and performance for 5 3PL sites alongside with leading a team of around 10 3PL manager and specialists. The Senior manager will be interfacing with the Finance, Procurement, Retail, Supply Chain and Transportation teams and externally up to C-level of 3PLs. You will contribute to the development of Amazon flexible & customer-centric fulfillment.

Key job responsibilities
• Define and execute strategy for FR 3PLs through understanding Supply Chain and Transportation systems/mechanisms and 3PL capabilities
• Translate network requirements into smart, cost-effective solutions
• Contribute and lead major expansion projects within the European External Fulfillment / Supply Chain / Transportation to support business and selection growth
• Prioritize projects and software feature requests, evaluate and set stakeholder expectations
• Contribute to contract negotiations with our external fulfillment partners
• Develop strong mechanisms to drive 3PL performance and improvements at scale
• Direct process improvements and cost optimization initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Develop and maintain strong communication processes to ensure smooth and efficient flow of accurate information across various Amazon’s teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in (Industrial) Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 7 years experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing and/or in any transferable project management
• Experience and understanding of warehousing operations, end-to-end Supply Chain and continuous improvement
• Experience in developing and achieving strategic goals for an operational team
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of Lean techniques such as Kaizen or Six Sigma
• C1 or higher level French
• C1 or higher level English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in (Industrial) Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong data analysis skills – Ability to produce, interpret and draw conclusions from data
• Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position
• Business case decision-making, complex problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels
• Team player who can facilitate successful project work, operating to deadlines
• Proven track record of delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality
• Technical expertise – Solution-driven approach to systems & processes
• Experience with analytical tools such as data warehouse tables: SQL / Visual Basic / Power BI / Quicksight
• Experience with project tools such as Asana, MS project, etc.
