Are you looking to be a finance leader responsible for one of Amazon’s fast growing and dynamic product groups? Look no further. We are looking for a Finance Manager to join the EU Amazon TCEE Retail Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full P&L of one of our Product Groups and will guide strategic decision-making among senior business leaders. You will partner closely with the Retail team, Finance and other business groups across Europe, to support and monitor the strategic, financial and operational plans of the consumer business. The role has a broad scope and is best suited for a person who has a proven ability to provide analytical support for executive decision-making based on quantitative analyses, is comfortable engaging in strategic discussions with senior leaders, and has excellent communication and influencing skills.
This position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
– Co-own the financial success of one Product Group in EU. You have the freedom and opportunity to consult, challenge and influence business decisions and drive our long-term free cash flow.
– Partner with Directors and Senior Managers to drive strategic initiatives and long term success
– Develop financial and operational plans to achieve long-term business goals
– Conduct business reviews, evaluate progress toward business goals, and communicate progress to senior management
– Perform analyses and develop financial frameworks to identify opportunities for business improvement
– Review and report monthly and quarterly financial and operational performance to business leaders
– Maintain a strong financial control environment
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor’s degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
– Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
– Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
– Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
– Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
– Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– MBA, or CPA
– Knowledge of SQL/ETL
– Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
– Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
– Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
– Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
