This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader to take on a 4-month assignment in an exceptional and newly opened flag ship hotel, commencing as of mid-October 2024 until mid-February 2025.
THE HOTEL
The Dolce by Wyndham Versailles, managed by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, is located in Domaine de Montcel, in the vicinity of the Versailles Palace. With 15 meeting and reception rooms, 178 guest rooms, suites, and apartments, 2 restaurants, a bar, a stylish spa and an outstanding park of more than 14 hectares, Dolce by Wyndham Versailles will offer the subtle balance between authentic French elegance and contemporary comfort.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The HR Leader is responsible for the hotel’s HR performance and all ongoing practices in relation to the HR function.
- He/she together with the HR Coordinator, will be responsible for leading the HR department within all HR disciplines across the employee Lifecycle (I.e., Sourcing, Recruitment, Welcome experience, Employee relations, Compensation and Benefits, Payroll, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Team member Engagement, Health & Wellbeing).
- Other key duties and responsibilities:
- HR strategic planning and payroll budgeting for 2025 in conjunction with the Strategic team and Regional HR Business Partner EMEA.
- Produce and analyse monthly people metrics (HR Balance Score Card).
- Ensuring compliance with company HR standards (HR Success Review).
- Managing the recruitment process according to Wyndham Standards including but not limited to the Authority to Recruit, talent sourcing and proactive search when required, application screening and 1st stage interviewing, with candidate shortlist and summaries shared with the line manager for 2nd stage interview.
- Ensure the Team Member Welcome/onboarding processes are in line with the WHR guidelines, including but not limited to ensuring all new joiners have a welcome letter and Onboarding plan before their first day, compliance with statutory & company training, followed by regular 1:1s with their line manager leading up to the end of probation.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and influence management to drive the team member engagement agenda and actions plans to continuously look for opportunities to improve retention and overall engagement in the hotel.
- Ensure all kinds of employee relations i.e., disciplinary, performance management and grievance process, are managed with high degree of integrity, fairness and consistency with hotel policies and the CLA. Take an active role as an arbitrator, note taker or advisor where appropriate.
- Advice and support the management team on people-related matters.
- Train and support the HR Executive/HR Coordinator etc. in the above process.
- As when needed, acting as a mediator in senior conflict handling.
- Supporting management to effectively managing their team members through the company’s continuous performance management tools.
- In conjunction with the senior team, ensure that all relevant team members have active business and personal goals.
- Ensure relevant team members have a live personal development plan or personal improvement plan which is monitored with regular one to ones.
- Ensure the annual training plan is designed according to business and departmental needs.
- Ensure delivery of training as per the training plan, local legislation and WHR guidelines.
- Responsible for the in-house payroll management
- Ensure effective and regular team member recognition and communication efforts are taken place according to company standards.

Background and Skills:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Hotel HR Leader preferably in a upscale similar size hotel.
- A recognized Human Resources, business, or hospitality management qualification.
- Fluency in French and English is essential.
- Knowledge of French employment legislation
