Job Overview:

The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Director, Communications to strategize, coordinate and manage internal communications and the corporate social media program. In this new role, the candidate will guide internal communications, from developing strategy to building experiences and messages that resonate with everyone at Rocket. They will work with a variety of leaders across different departments to determine how Rocket should communicate as a company, to inform, inspire and include all team members. This also includes deciding and developing the appropriate channels through which we do so and establishing a calendar to ensure a reliable cadence of impactful and relevant messages.
We are looking for someone who will be able to promote the company’s strategy internally, as well as on relevant digital/social media platforms in order to effectively meet the needs of a fast-paced organization. A successful candidate should be able to build trust across an organization, develop relationships with people from all departments and areas of the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop a robust internal communications strategy and approach, that takes into account the need to adapt for change as the company evolves; develop and evolve core messages for team members
• Plan, author, provide content, edit and deploy communications for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as a staff intranet, weekly newsletter, internal emails, company app, podcast, etc.; support with the planning, design, content and execution of materials for company-wide programs and meetings
•  Work with leaders to ensure they optimally communicate with their teams – including developing their “voice”, the mediums they use, and cadence
• Work closely with the HR team to effectively communicate about top human resources priorities and specific programs/news
• Work with IT team to optimize internal communications channels, ensuring delivery accuracy and speed and developing interactive functionality
• Build relationships with leaders, helping them to understand what they need to communicate to their teams, giving them advice, and supporting their efforts to champion our message
•  Lead aspects of Intranet, to ensure that information is up to date and reflects the latest communications/is consistently a highly useful tool for employees
• Design and implement social media strategy to support corporate image aligned with marketing and communications goals
• Responsible for generating, creating, and editing original text and video content
• Manage posting and sharing of engaging content daily (i.e. original text, photos, videos, and news)
• Build social media relationships, communicate with followers, respond to queries in and timely manner and monitor customer review and engagements
• Set specific objectives to build Rocket social presence and implement reporting/measurement on ROI analysis to build Rocket social presence (including SOV, Sentiment, Message Resonance and Competitive Analysis.
• Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
• Oversee social media accounts (i.e Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, cover, profile, pictures.
• Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness including promotions and competitions
• Stay current with technologies and trends in corporate business and within social media
• Ramp and roll out social advocacy tool, ensuring employee activation, create content captains and pilot and train core company evangelizers
• Develop and incorporate video first in posts

Required Qualifications:

• Approximately 5+ years of experience in communications and/or Marketing role with significant experience in fast paced, product-driven companies
• Experience in internal communications with a growing organization
• Ability to handle social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and engagement
• Excellent  verbal communication skills, ability to express company views creatively
• Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video)
• Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword search and Google analytics and Sprout Social
• Understanding of digital and social platforms
• Relationship builder with online influencers
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to strategize and execute in a proactive manner
• Must be highly collaborative, resourceful, flexible, and adaptable and bring the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, rolling up the sleeves and effectively managing details
