The JPMSE Compliance Governance & Reporting position is a critical role in the JPMSE legal entity Compliance team. The position will be located in Paris or Frankfurt and will report to the JPMSE Head of Core Compliance, Governance and Branch Oversight.

As a Compliance Governance & Reporting Officer, you will assist the JPMSE Compliance team with key priorities and activities to move the JPMSE legal entity Compliance agenda forward. You will drive and support activities to meet strategic goals, working in close partnerships with JPMSE and EMEA stakeholders across CCOR, as well as key Corporate functions (Finance, HR, Technology, Real Estate, Resiliency etc). The role presents an excellent opportunity to interact with senior stakeholders and gain detailed insight into the management of the Compliance function for a global and complex bank.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the running of the day-to-day Compliance governance structure and the implementation of the Legal Entity Compliance Governance Framework.
  • Provide support to the JPMSE Chief Compliance Officer and the Compliance team on governance and reporting matters, including preparation and timely submission of periodic governance reporting to legal entity committees and fora (including Compliance reporting to the Management Board).
  • Support the Compliance team in the preparation of regular and ad hoc Compliance reporting to JPMSE regulators as well as responses to requests for information from internal and external auditors.
  • Act as secretariat for legal entity Compliance governance meetings, setting relevant agendas, writing minutes and creating opportunities for efficiencies
  • Participate and where appropriate lead Compliance efforts to develop enhanced reporting, including data visualization techniques to deliver key Compliance messages and identification of emerging risks.
  • Collaborate with the CCOR senior management team to ensure prioritization of legal entity goals & objectives, with a focus on driving change, innovation and automation across the department.
  • Maintain oversight of the Compliance Resiliency Plans.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with ability to communicate (oral and written) effectively at all levels across a diverse and global organisation
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Experience in creating presentation materials/ drafting speaker notes for presentations by senior management in executive or board level meetings
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
  • Strong project management skills; ability to gain commitment among stakeholders and drive initiatives to completion effectively and independently
  • Ability to assess complex organizational objectives, diagnose problems and prioritize efforts, taking ownership to solve them
  • Knowledge and awareness of the Compliance and regulatory landscape will be valued
  • Team player who thrives on challenge
  • Inquisitive and proactive in identifying solutions, with keen attention to detail

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Tableau, QlikView, Alteryx would be advantageous.
