As Content Acquisition Manager supporting the content category within Prime Video, you love films and TV, and make it your mission to help identify the best possible content to attract, engage and retain customers in France. You will have to apply your deep analytical skills to make the case for a given content acquisition- category, both qualitatively (the ‘what’ and ‘where’ and ‘from who’) and quantitatively (the ‘how’ and ‘when’). You will support your content category to the point where you will assess the efficacy of your past recommendations, to inform recommendations to Prime Video leadership regarding future acquisition decisions and feed into the larger vision we create as a team. You are not afraid to Dive Deep as you uncover data points to prove or disprove your hypothesis, employing XLS and SQL as if they were natural extensions of you.

• Execute the content acquisition strategy for your category for Prime Video in France
• Support content category acquisition process, including building analytical models, evaluating opportunities, recommending content for acquisition to senior leadership, supporting negotiation with catalogue partners, managing catalogue budget
• Help defining content category strategy
• Support the launch of your content category
• Help to meet performance targets for your content category
• Support and document acquisition plans, financial metrics and goals for senior leadership
• Use customer behavior, usage and consumption data to make suggestions on decision-making
• Build and grow relationships with content providers
• Collaborate with internal teams across all functional areas within Amazon Prime Video
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– experience supporting negotiating complex agreements
– experience demonstrating analytical skills and ability to dive into data to identify patterns to solve problems and back assumptions (e.g., ability to use and modify data sets in Excel)
– English fluency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in a high-volume account management, content licensing or finance role
– Knowledge of digital video landscape and movie/TV industry
– Additional language-skills desirable
– Excellent business judgment and demonstrated ability to think and act strategically and tactically
– Ability to understand product and technical requirements and interface with Product/Technology teams.
– Ability to build strong relationship with external partners
