Our vision for Amazon Ultra-Fast-Grocery is to establish Amazon as the first-choice grocery store for our customers worldwide. We are seeking an exceptionally motivated and talented Outbound Channel Lead with a strong customer focus and ability to innovate, to develop and execute marketing strategies for our European business.

As the Outbound Channel Lead, you will be responsible for driving the strategy, execution, and ongoing optimization of Amazon’s outbound marketing channels, including email and push notifications, for our European grocery businesses. This role is crucial in delivering personalized, high-performing outbound campaigns that engage customers and drive business growth.

This is a unique opportunity to get involved with a rapidly developing Amazon business and make a wide-reaching impact.
You’ll be a member of a remote marketing team distributed across the EU, with the option to work from our offices in Germany (Munich), UK (London), Spain (Madrid), Italy (Milan), or France (Paris).

An ideal candidate for the Outbound Channel Lead role:

– Is a seasoned marketing or program management professional who demonstrates strength in the Amazon leadership principles of Are Right a Lot, Earn Trust, Insist on the Highest Standards, and Deep Dive.
– Has 5+ years of experience leading strategic programs and delivering results through outbound digital marketing channels, such as email and push notifications, preferably within the e-commerce or retail industry.
– Excels at using data and customer insights to drive decision-making, developing recommendations backed by a deep understanding of customer behavior and business performance.
– Thrives in ambiguous environments, testing hypotheses and scaling learnings across teams and markets to drive continuous improvement.
– Possesses excellent project management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives and rally support from diverse stakeholders.
– Demonstrates strong technical aptitude, with the capacity to understand and influence platform capabilities, as well as a keen appreciation for automation and process optimization.
– Is a strategic thinker who can translate complex data and insights into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership.
– Has experience working in international markets and a deep understanding of localization best practices to drive tailored, high-performing outbound campaigns.
– Prefers to work smart and efficiently, leveraging tools and processes to maximize productivity and impact.

Key job responsibilities
– Monitor the health and performance of the outbound marketing channels across our European grocery businesses, and identify opportunities to enhance targeting, messaging, and overall effectiveness to improve customer engagement and sales.
– Define the outbound channel roadmap, including an evergreen content strategy and audience segmentation approach, to maximize the impact of these channels.
– Collaborate with central and local marketing teams to align outbound initiatives with the overall trade marketing plan and customer experience goals.
– Benchmark the Fresh grocery outbound strategy against other product categories and programs to identify best practices and scaling opportunities.
– Drive continuous improvements in the offshoring and automation of outbound campaign execution, reducing manual effort and improving operational efficiency.
– Implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure all outbound content and targeting meet brand guidelines, customer experience standards, and compliance requirements.
– Provide in-depth reporting and analysis of outbound channel performance, clearly communicating results and insights to enable data-driven decision making.
– Collaborate with the central analytics team to develop advanced reporting dashboards and predictive models to optimize outbound performance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of experience in marketing, project management or consulting
– Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data visualization and reporting tools to generate actionable insights.
– Excellent project management and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
– Technical aptitude to understand and influence platform capabilities, as well as an appreciation for automation and process optimization.
– Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and delivering measurable business impact through outbound marketing initiatives.
– Ability to think strategically and translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for senior stakeholders.
– Familiarity with international markets and an understanding of localization best practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience with customer acquisition and retention marketing.
– Experience leads cross-country, cross-function projects with other Amazon teams.
– Experience working remotely.
– Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
– Are highly detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
