AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilities
– Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of early career solution architects, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help them grow and succeed in their roles.
– Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, managing resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful outcomes.
– Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in solution architecture, providing technical leadership and guidance to the team.
– Communication: Effectively communicate technical concepts and architectural designs to both technical and non-technical audiences, fostering understanding and buy-in across the organization.
– Problem-Solving: Analyze complex business and technical challenges, identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization, and driving the development of creative solutions.
– Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team, encouraging knowledge sharing, skill development, and adoption of best practices to enhance overall performance and effectiveness.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in development or network administration or DevOps or technical consulting
– Working knowledge of cloud technologies and knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
– Experience presenting to both large and small audiences across internal and external organizations and technical and non-technical audiences
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
– AWS Certification, eg. AWS Solutions Architect Associate
– Solution selling experience
– Experience in process improvement at org level
– Project or Program management experience
– Knowledge of other European Languages
