An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our EMEA Rates Desk. As an trader you will be making markets and managing risk in The European Government Bond (EGBs). The European Government Bond business provides liquidity to clients in peripheral, core and semi-core bonds.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Making markets in peripheral EGBs (Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece)
  • Managing a trading book in your sector and joining a broader team who trade peripheral EGBs
  • Help manage the primary dealerships from the trading side
  • Work with sales to maintain and expand the client franchise and relationships

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience in trading Rates Products

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in market-making (preferably in a related rates product)
  • Ability to react quickly to changing market environments
  • Strong approach to control environment
  • Works well within a team
