DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Big Data Architect, you will help an collaborate with several tasks such as driving and executing architecting, (re)designing and building business critical Big Data solutions with our customers. You will take advantage of the global scale, elasticity, automation and high-availability features of the AWS platform and build customer solutions. You will work across a range of areas including web and mobile applications, enterprise applications, HPC, IoT, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning and engage with technical, IT and leadership teams of our customers.

You will collaborate across the whole AWS organization, with other consultants, customer teams and partners on proof-of-concepts, workshops and complex implementation projects. You will innovate and experiment to help customers achieve their business outcomes and deliver production-ready solutions at global scale. You will help drive projects independently but also work as a member of a larger team. Your role will be key to earning customer trust.

This role is a customer-facing role requiring the ability to travel for projects within the FR EMEA South Area. The preferred location for this role is Lyon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Several years of experience with architecting and implementation of large-scale Data Analytics platforms, including building ETL processes, data pipelines, data governance, master data management and integrations.
• Experience with Apache Hadoop and the Hadoop ecosystem (or equivalent alternative), including massively-parallel-processing (MPP) models, real-time processing and analytics, data ingestion (batched and streamed) and data storage solutions. Familiarity with technologies such as Hive, Impala, Spark SQL, Presto etc.
• Understanding of database and analytical technologies in the industry including MPP and NoSQL databases, Data Warehouse design, ETL, BI reporting and Dashboard development.
• Experience with OLAP databases such as Amazon Redshift, Teradata, Netezza, Vertica.
• Excellent French and English communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• AWS Certification in Solutions Architecture or Specialty (Database, Data Analytics, Machine Learning).
• Big Data Architect experience with AWS or other modern data analytics stacks/services such as EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3, Redshift, Kinesis, Glue or similar services of other public providers in a variety of distributed computing enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of BI / data visualization tools (such as Tableau, Spotfire, MicroStrategy, Cognos).
• Experience with tools such as Flume, Kafka, Nifi, Logstash.
• Hands-on experience developing software in one or more programming languages, such as: Java, JavaScript, Python, R, C++, etc.
