Amazon Logisitcs France is rapidly growing. They’re area where we manage fast-moving deliveries. Our associate teams receive, classify, process and ship parcels out.
It’s in this logistics environment that we will need an experienced and strategic WHS Manager to manage the compliance tasks inside WHS Department. You will be coordinating, supporting and auditing the Health and Safety compliance of the different centers national wide.
Your responsibilities:
You will be managing key aspects of output: metrics, safety targets, and process improvements. The extent of your duties will include:
• Supporting the centers with the definition, implementation and follow up of Health and Safety strategic plan for the year.
• Support for the implementation and review of local legislative requirements, across all Amazon Logistics Operations sites,
• Proactively collaborating on the definition of a Health and Safety Management system across all Amazon Logistics Operations sites, integrating Amazon standards when available,
• Proactively collaborating on Health and Safety projects, across all Amazon Logistics Operations sites,
• Providing authoritative guidance on Health & Safety compliance to all stakeholders, especially on topics related to Labor Authorities (inspections),
• Annual legal audit arrangements and follow up for Health & Safety management, plus periodical inspections and reviews with the sites.
• Provide top management with information about HS legal compliance according to French regulations,
Basic Qualifications: You have the below? Great!
• Degree level Diploma
• You have significant experience as WHS Compliance Manager, ideally gained in a logistics environment,
• Flexible approach to work, while always managing your own priorities and workload,
• You’re able to effectively lead and manage a project, as well as influence peer and other stakeholders
• You possess excellent writting and oral communication and influencing skills: you’re also results-oriented and tenacious,
• You’re also comfortable communicating at all levels of seniority within a large organization,
• You possess an in-depth understanding of EU & French Health and Safety legislation,
• You can quickly build credibility, using your influencing skills and strategies to build buy-in for change,
• You are fluent in French and in English
Preferred Qualifications: You own the below as well? Even better!
• You possess experience of Lean, 5S and Kaizen methodologies,
• Qualifications or experience of environmentally-conscious initiatives would be advantageous.
