(Junior) Project Engineer – System Simulation h/f

Your mission

Our Engineering Services group located in Lyon is specialized in physical modeling and control of complex systems with high added value. Our customers belong to all kind of industries such as automotive, aeronautics, off-highway or manufacturing industry; and the variety of systems is wide.

The physical modeling of the system enables to assess product performances and verify design choices considering the physical interactions between subsystems, components, and their control.

Engineering Services projects address an international community. This gives interested engineers an exciting working environment and opportunity to collaborate with Japanese, European, American, Korean and other specialists who work in innovative processes and at the edge of technology, such as electric drivelines and their integration into the vehicle.

As a project engineer you will manage projects in the areas of multi-physics systems modelling and the development of innovative workflows to create, validate and explore these virtual models. The projects can take from a couple of weeks, where only two people work together, to several years where typically projects are subdivided in work packages driven by a larger team with sub-responsibilities.

Project teams are composed based on the project at hand. As such one gets different challenges in every new project, but also has different team members in every project, facilitating a fast development of technical skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering (preferred field are thermodynamic, electrical, mechatronics)
• Experience in system simulationCAE 1D
• Programming and scripting knowledge in Python or Matlab
• Experience in AI is a plus.
• Good practical analytical skills
• Very good interpersonal skills in English
• Dynamic team player, who takes on challenges and responsibility for his own projects, both on the technical side as on the project management and customer relation side.
