The Global Product Labelling team (GPL) is responsible for creating, maintaining and localizing customer-facing documentation and software for Varian products . Our Localization services also extend to other types of contents. In this position, you will be a part of a multicultural team with global presence.
As a Language Quality Specialist for the French language, you will be the point of reference for the quality of the localized products installed in French speaking markets.
Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical product verification of localized products throughout the product development cycle, including linguistic and functional testing
- Vet translation quality feedback, lead arbitration and communicate the findings to the Engineering, Verification and Validation teams
- Maintain language-specific terminology and style instructions within the GPL infrastructure
- Participate in the development of a language quality strategy , and own its implementation and maintenance in the specific target language.
- Review and monitor language quality metrics for the target language, address related insights
- Monitor execution of defined language requirements in affected countries
- Build and maintain a network of local experts to discuss language-related requirements in all affected countries, and enhance Varian’s understanding of local clinical practices
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as project and product management, development teams and application specialists to identify areas of improvement and potential gaps in language quality
- Train external suppliers and partners to implement the defined language quality strategy, review necessary improvements
- Train and support peers to run similar tasks in further languages as needed
Job requirements:
- Degree in oncology, radiation therapy, or related work experience
- Fluent level in French and English
- Clinical understanding of the processes in a radiation oncology department
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-sufficiency with juggling multiple projects
- Attention to detail
- Organizational and time management skills
- Interpersonal skills, ability to work with people from various backgrounds
