Topic: Defining and applying methods for modeling thermal exchanges in cryogenic tanks structures

About the role

Siemens Simcenter is a software portfolio for simulation and analysis of 1D multi-domain systems. The software offers a 1D simulation suite to model and analyze intelligent multi-domain systems and predict their performance. You will be part of the team responsible for the development of solutions dedicated to aeronautics, space, defense, and marine.

In the context of the development of the cryogenic storage capability for hydrogen application in the industry, heat transfer in the tank’s structure must be modeled. The objective is to propose and develop a modeling approach to ease setting up and thermal model of tank geometry variants to assess heat transfers in the system.

• Get familiar with “Simcenter Amesim” software for system modeling and simulation.

• Identify and understand customer challenges related to cryogenic storage systems.

Establish a methodology for calculating thermal exchanges.

• Optimize the numerical method to meet users’ needs.

Develop and validate models to address these goals.

This internship contract base in Lyon (69) and available from February 2024
