We are looking for a talented Corporate Product Compliance Counsel to support our rapidly expanding stores in Germany and France. The successful candidate will be in charge of working with business line lawyers and business partners to identify, create and develop scalable compliance and regulatory solutions to create a best-in-class customer experience. This entails serving as key partner on regulatory initiatives and providing day-to-day advice to a wide range of business teams, focusing on legal analysis, developing compliance objectives and resolving potential compliance issues that arise in our goal to be the Earth’s most customer centric company. The candidate will also need to actively build and foster close regulatory relationships.
This role involves engagement with Amazon’s leadership in Germany and France. Therefore, effective communication of complex matters in English, German and French, a history of successful regulatory management, and adeptness in data-driven solutions for intricate issues are crucial attributes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Fully qualified lawyer with outstanding academic qualification
• 6+ years post-qualification legal experience preferably gathered in-house or in international law firm
• High degree of independence, initiative and decisiveness but also desire to be challenged and think outside the box
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to act as business partner to senior management
• Great business judgment especially in ambiguous situations
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment
• Excellent English, German and French language skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A team player and consensus builder with great people skills and a good sense of humor who can effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships with attorneys and business clients at all levels throughout the organization
• Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity
