The mission of the Transportation Risk & Compliance (TRC) team is to drive compliance and risk management mechanisms for Amazon’s transportation businesses serving as a second line assurance function, supporting Last, Middle, and First Mile, as well as external suppliers of these transportation services & products.
Amazon is seeking an experienced Audit & Compliance Risk Manager to join the centralized European TRC team working with our team located in France. We are looking for individuals who can apply their knowledge of operations and internal controls to a diverse set of risk areas, including compliance, process, technology, legal, finance, and program management.
In this role, you will work closely with Amazon’s Last Mile transportation businesses and stations to understand their nuanced risk landscapes. You will also partner with various legal, finance, and compliance teams to (1) build and optimize compliance continuous monitoring programs that will assess Carrier Partners’ compliance to key terms & conditions, (2) build and conduct a risk-oriented assessments, (3) conduct field reviews and assessments.

Job responsibilities:
• Work across Last Mile transportation teams to monitor regulatory and compliance risks.
• Build continuous monitoring programs focusing on carrier partner’s compliance to wage practices and other risk areas.
• Support process improvement, automation, and control implementation projects
• Collaborate with project teams in developing business requirements and business controls.
• Partner with legal, business teams, and technology teams to identify and assess regulatory, compliance, or other risks; provide risk subject matter expertise to influence product design.
• Drive the standardization and documentation of processes, risks, and controls and work with owners to assign accountability.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Operational Audit and Compliance or Internal Controls experience
• University degree
• Fluency in French and English in writing and in speaking required
• Acquaintance with French employment, finance, transportation and/or safety regulations
• Advanced excel functions and their functionalities to support data analysis and compliance reporting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Professional Certification is an advantage (CIA, CFE or equivalent)
• Past experience in interacting with French Labor or Environmental national agencies and understanding of the French Labor Law
• Proven Transportation or Supply Chain industry experience, preferably in a similar or equivalent role will be big advantage
• Understanding of data analysis skills and tools such as Tableau, SQL (intermediate to advanced)
• Other foreign language written and verbal skills (Spanish, German and/or Italian) are considered a plus
