About the Position:
The Manager/Sr. Manager, EMEA Public Sector Sales Strategy, will play a crucial role in supporting the Global Public Sector Business Unit, one of the fastest growing business units at Salesforce. This role is hybrid of traditional jobs in strategic planning, sales operations, finance, and sales collaboration – requiring a mix of market analysis, sales optimization and business operational support.
This role will support the EMEA Public Sector sales team and be directly involved in driving the continued success of Salesforce by supporting our growth strategy. Sample projects range from the strategic to the tactical including evaluating market opportunities, supporting the creation of product growth strategies, long range business planning.
Expectations include detailed analytic models, custom performance analysis, building a scalable reporting infrastructure, and packaging findings into presentation-ready content for Salesforce executives. The role requires interaction and trust with various areas of the organization and provides exposure to senior executives. The successful candidate will be curious, have great interpersonal and leadership skills, and possess a passion for crafting innovative analysis to find opportunities to progress the business. Moreover, this person will excel at extracting insights from data and converting ideas to action.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead ongoing analysis of business performance to support daily operations
  • Lead business unit related day-to-day operations
  • Assist in developing and delivering presentations for senior executives
  • Support critical initiatives including fixing weak business areas and identifying areas of opportunity
  • Prepare analysis and recommendations for strategic decision making
  • Lead annual planning process for the EMEA Public Sector Business Unit

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability in a sales strategy, corporate strategy, or consulting environment with exposure to front line sales organizations
  • 1+ years of management experience
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM, Tableau, and SQL
  • Experience in public sector / government related organizations or business units a plus
  • Valuable work experience focused on quantitative analysis and logical reasoning
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. MBA a plus.
  • Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand
  • Exceptional problem solving skills: demonstrated ability to structure sophisticated problems, develop solutions
  • Work experience in consulting, finance, or product management is a plus
