The EMEA Tax team is responsible for ensuring that JPMorgan meets its tax reporting obligations across EMEA. This role is focused on JPMorgan’s French corporate tax and VAT compliance obligations.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant’s key responsibilities will be ensuring JPMorgan complies with its French corporate tax compliance and VAT obligations including:
- Management of corporate tax and VAT computations, returns and payments
- Management of the relationship with the French tax authority, including rulings and tax audits
- Analysing the French tax implications of group reorganisations, acquisitions and disposals
- Reviewing and enhancing tax procedures and controls
- Clearly and succinctly articulating French tax risks to senior management
- Month end tax accruals including substantiation of tax balances
- Tax provisioning for statutory accounts
- Liaising with the US Tax team in relation to quarterly reporting packs, foreign tax credits and forecast of taxable profits
- Advising on the impact of new tax legislation in France
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum 10 years experience as qualified professional with a recognised French accounting and/or tax qualification
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and influence others
- A strong knowledge and experience of the French corporate tax and VAT regimes and strong tax accounting skills
- An individual focused on operating within and enhancing the existing tax risk and control framework
- Excellent written and verbal skills with fluency in French and English
- Excellent research, analytical and reasoning skills
