About the role

Are you a team player, are you dynamic and motivated, do you enjoy taking on challenges and satisfying responsibility for your own projects, both on the technical side and on the project management and customer relationship side?

Within the “Global Sales & Services” France organization, you join the Simcenter Engineering team as a Project engineer (senior) m/f;

On a daily basis, you evolve in a stimulating work environment, in cooperation with specialists from all over the world (Japanese, Chinese, German, US, French,….) who work in state-of-the-art and state-of-the-art processes, such as electric drivelines and thermal management together with their integration into the vehicle.

• You manage and apply projects in the field of performance and energy analysis of mechatronic systems, with particular emphasis on automotive markets.

• You can intervene on projects ranging from a few weeks to several years segmented into a lot of work.

• You know how to adapt to work with different teams and different products from our “Simcenter” test & simulation portfolio and allow you to quickly master ….

This position is a permanent contract base in Villefranche-sur-Saône ( 69 ) available ASAP.

Your Qualification

Master’s degree in engineering or PhD (preferred mechanical, thermal, electrical, Engineer or PhD training, ideally in one of the following fields: mechanical, thermal, electrical, mechatronics, you have experience in multi-physics testing, advanced instrumentation, prototyping for a variety of applications automobiles or “eMobility” and/or “Heavy duty” and/or “off-highway” market segments. A first experience in system simulation (CAE 1D) is necessary, in 3D CFD would be a plus. Experience with scripting tools (Matlab or equivalent) is also required.

• You have a particular interest and understanding of mechanical and/or electromechanical engineering.
• You are recognized for your know-how in the design, performance and control of electric motors and you have an attraction for integration into a complete vehicle
• Your command of English (oral and written) combined with good practical analytical skills and good communication skills allows you to collaborate easily with international teams.
• You are willing to travel (several times a year from a few days to 1 week)

The following knowledge could be a plus: Python; Experience in AI is a plus; Knowledge of the energy and thermal management of systems equipped with refrigeration loops (HVAC, Heat Pump Systems, HV Battery, etc.).
