Do you want to work in one of the fastest growing and most innovative businesses at Amazon. Amazon Devices is seeking an experienced, talented, dynamic & self-directed Channel Marketing Manager, for a fixed-term 12 month contract, to oversee the implementation of marketing plans, from in-store to digital onsite with our key retail partners.

You will work closely with the European local marketing, sales and account teams to launch the greatest tech, develop high impact marketing communications and create rigorous analytical processes to measure efficiency.

You will have autonomy to own and build retail relationships with full marketing responsibility for our key product categories: Echo, Fire TV, Kindle eReaders and Blink Smart Security.

A successful candidate will possess strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop deep and integrated partnerships to unlock and maximize Amazon Device growth while being a conscientious thinker, with the energy to move at pace. They will be an expert in consumer electronic retail dynamics, trends and challenges.

The role is bilingual – French & English.

Key job responsibilities
• Delivery of 360° marketing campaigns and launch plans of Amazon Devices and Services through our partners & retailers.
• Development of rolling annual and quarterly plans with key retail partners, aligned with European and local priorities. Management of the successful implementation of the plan within the defined budgets & timelines. Close cooperation with the sales team.
• Deliver an engaging and consistent CX across necessary retail stores and retailer websites, considering local differences and nuances.
• Own specific digital workstreams to increase share of voice and share of search. Review and track digital merchandising performance onsite.
• Execute and ensure tracking of Joint Business Plan (JBP), resulting in delivery of JBP workstreams and volume targets.
• Develop and strengthen contacts with account partners and agencies to deliver plans.
• Execute and track MDF (Marketing Development Fund) and OPEX budgets for FR accounts
• Develop strong review and tracking mechanisms to continually trial, learn and share across EU5. Establish benchmark, then continually improve efficiency and effectiveness of plans.
• Plan and roll out any new business accounts, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of activation plans in line with volume aspirations.
• Understand the detail behind retailers within the business, ensuring all tactical nuances are understood and championed within the business (i.e. capabilities, turnaround times, limitations).

A day in the life
As a Channel Marketing Manager within our offline business in France, you will work closely with local account manager and pan-EU marketing teams to support the execution of channel marketing activities (campaigns, promotions, etc.) and create rigorous analytical processes to measure their effectiveness. A passion for consumer electronics and Amazon Alexa is a bonus, as you will be responsible for creating advocates with our retail partners (such as Boulanger, Electro Depot or Casino). This role offers an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and commercial environment where the customer is always first.

About the team
Within Amazon Devices, the so-called ‘Offline’ sales and marketing team is working relentlessly with electronic retail partners (e.g. Media Markt, Boulanger, Argos) to drive household penetration for our various product offerings throughout all product categories (from Alexa (Echo products), Kindles and more). Our team is full of outstanding talent from various cultural backgrounds, based throughout London, Munich, Madrid, Milan, Dubai and Paris and together we shape the Amazon Devices business within numerous European and Middle East countries.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Fluent in French & English
• Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent understanding of consumer product marketing strategies
• Track record of success in multi-party marketing partnerships and extensive experience working with consumer electronics retailers
• Ability to understand complex product attributes and relate their benefits into culturally relevant, channel-appropriate communications
• Promote teamwork and collaboration, show initiative, and act independently to successfully manage all relations & challenges.
• Proven success in delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
• High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
• Strong project management skills, detail oriented and highly organized.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with key retailers and/or DIY in France (e.g. Fnac Darty, Boulanger, Leclerc, Leroy Merlin).
• Experience in consumer product marketing
