Amazon HR Regional Partners (HRPs) in the EMEA region act as consultants to people managers, operating autonomously and delivering high judgement advice to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Our HRPs have strong knowledge of their country’s employment labour law, are skilled in consulting on Amazon policy and build trust by providing high judgement guidance on people related topics. Amazon HRPs work as generalists across several of our Corporate businesses, partnering with people leaders to provide quick, efficient, high quality consultation and guidance.
Amazon HRPs actively collaborate with our HR stakeholders, including business aligned HR Business Partners and centres of excellence, including Compensation & Benefits and Talent Acquisition. Our role is also to standardise best practises across EMEA, due to our broad view across business lines and our focus and ability to identify trending issues and themes, through data.
Key job responsibilities
Here are some examples of the key topics we support with:
o Works council management.
o Complex and sensitive employee issues, including disciplinary and grievance procedures.
o Performance improvement processes, both informal and formal.
o Guiding Leaders through the Talent Management and Annual Compensation planning processes.
o Providing guidance to HR Business Partners and Business Leaders on change management initiatives.
Whilst our HRPs consult primarily with people managers, we sometimes give support to employees on topics that may be highly sensitive and cannot be self-served.
Alongside this core case work, HRPs own policy and compliance at country level. They also both input and lead important projects that are aligned to our entire teams’ annual goals and strategy, through taking part in subject matter expert groups improving key HR processes (such as Talent/Performance management) at EU level, or individual project assignments at country, region or EU level.
This role will provide support to managers who are based in France and/or managers whose teams are based in France. Collaboration with Works Council representatives is required and therefore previous Works Council experience is a plus. In the mid term, it is expected the role will support Luxembourg on top of France.
