Your main challenges

As part of the Siemens EDA software development teams, you’ll be integrated in one of the team in charge of developing Circuit simulators. You’re involved on all the development phases in a highly competitive landscape where creativity, innovation, state of the art technologies and quality are key to success.

Depending on the team you’ll join you’ll be contributing either to a well established, best in class, circuit simulator or to a new generation of simulator targeting the most challenging circuits. Joining us you’ll develop both technical and human skills in an international and experienced team.

On a Daily basis :

– You analyze the behavior of the simulator on specific circuits ; and based on your analysis, you’ll create and implement algorithm, from the simplest, to the more complex ones in order to improve the performance of the software (speed, memory, robustness).

– Based on customer driven marketing requests, you develop new functionalities.

– You contribute to the general maintenance of the software following state of the art methods (spécifications, tests, architecture improvements, internal documentation).

Keys to success

You have a master’s degree (or equivalent) or a PhD in either computer science, applied mathematics or electrical engineering (with a good software development background). You have at least 3 years of experience in software development, ideally in an industrial environment.

You know well C/ C++ languages, the Linux environment and Shell scripting languages (bash / sh / csh) ;

You’re familiar with control version softwares (Git,…) ; and debug softwares (gdb, valgrind…) or profiling tools (perf, VTune…).

You’ve got a strong interest in electronics and applied mathematics/numerical analysis.

You’re proficient in English and you can adapt easily to multicultural/international environment.

You’re comfortable working in a technical and scientific environment.
