We are looking for a talented and experienced Legal Counsel to support a strategic and rapidly growing transportation business in France and Belgium.
You will be a trusted advisor for the business teams you support, liaising directly with senior business and legal leaders, advising on deploying new programs and products, regulatory compliance, negotiating strategic transactions and handling litigation and pre-litigation disputes.
As part of your role, you will be responsible for developing and executing legal strategies, building compliance guardrails and simplifying legal processes in creative, business-centric ways, also driving pan-EU projects and strategies.
The role can be based either in Amazon’s Paris or Luxembourg office.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Outstanding academic qualification in French law
• At least 5+ year’s post-qualification legal experience in international law firms
• Strong background in commercial litigation and transactional matters
• High degree of independence, initiative and decisiveness but also desire to be challenged and think outside the box
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to act as Business Partner to Senior Management
• Great business judgment especially in ambiguous situations
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment
• Excellent English language skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficiency in Spanish or Italian is appreciated
• In house experience and/or background in regulatory and competition matters are a plus
