Job summary:

The role of a Vice President is to grow and retain profitable relationships within the Commercial Bank (CB) focused on VC-backed technology companies in France and continental Europe as well as liaising with colleagues in the US. You will meet business development goals, seeking opportunities to sell multiple Banking products to high quality prospects and clients and anticipating their future needs to help them reach their goals and maximize our revenues over the life of the relationship.

You will support the development of a calling plan to prioritise revenue opportunities and cultivating referral sources, building long term relationships and calling on high quality prospects. Specific goals are developed depending upon client portfolio needs as well as sector and geographic coverage. Your work with colleagues in credit solutions is a critical component of your responsibilities, as well as possessing the following attributes:

  • Champion a culture of innovation and a customer centric mindset
  • Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for origination, innovation or strategic partnerships
  • Find ways to drive efficiency in infrastructure through automation, as well as identifying innovative opportunities offered by new technologies
  • An exceptional partner, who will partner and collaborate across all parts of JP Morgan including investment banking, large cap corporate banking, payments, derivatives, wealth management, private bank, risk, industry groups, among others

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Relevant experience for VC backed tech / Innovation Economy clients
  • Relevant understanding of Commercial Banking (cash management, FX and cards) and Investment Banking (notably equity raising and M&A)
  • Experienced in credit products relevant to VC backed tech companies
  • Relationships with leading Venture Capital investors in early and late stage tech
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the French and European VC market
  • Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources
  • Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals (proven top contributor)
