As a Cloud and Software SA, you will help design and prove innovative solutions for client cloud and infrastructure observability, monitoring and reporting needs. You will partner with NetApp sales counterparts and client technical leadership to understand the customer’s challenges, architect appropriate solutions, design and run proof-of-concepts and onboard customers into active consumption. You – alongside sales specialists and leadership – will create and execute on a strategy for success for our Cloud Insights SaaS business across France and the wider European market.
Primary Responsibilities:
As a Cloud & Software SA, you will:
Pre-sales:
Work closely with sales specialists to understand customer needs, and the fit of the solutions NetApp offers
Design solutions that may include one or more of software, cloud subscriptions and professional services; running technical workshops to demonstrate those solutions
Design and run proof-of-concepts to illustrate the fit of solutions within the customer’s environment
Assist with the development of business cases and return on investment (ROI) calculations
Handover new customer wins to professional services and / or customer success
Evangelism:
Presenting at customer and partner executive briefings, NetApp and partner sales meetings, etc.
Participating in / host industry meet-ups and user groups
Publishing videos, reference architectures, significant wins, etc, internally and / or externally
Improvement / learning time:
Staying abreast of the latest developments in public cloud and infrastructure services
Acquiring / maintaining technical expertise
Developing or enhancing processes and techniques employed by our sales and technical teams
About our Team:
The Cloud and IT Ops sales team is an overlay organisation, responsible for growing the base of customers using our Cloud Insights cloud and infrastructure observability software service. We are experts in the SaaS offering itself, as well as how it functions and integrates in customer environments to solve customer problems. We run complex or strategic sales engagements, enable the wider NetApp teams to position and sell the service, and work together to improve how we take Cloud Insights to market.
What you can bring to the table:
Basic qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English
At least three years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role
Enthusiasm to learn and try new things
Practical experience in cloud and on-prem infrastructure landscape, ideally including compute, storage, networking, containers / container orchestration
A willingness to travel within Europe to customer locations, and occasionally further afield
Preferred (i.e. nice-to-have) qualifications
Cloud Ops, Software or SaaS sales or presales experience
Experience with traditional, on-prem storage vendors, including Dell EMC, Pure, HPE, Hitachi, IBM and others
Certifications from one or more public cloud providers
Certifications in Kubernetes or Cloud Native concepts
