We are looking for an Electrical Low Voltage Superintedent to join our New Build team in St.Nazaire on a fixed term basis until July 2024.

Position Summary:

As part of the Newbuilding Site Office technical team to be responsible of electrical, IT, electronic design coordination, development and optimizing of the systems towards energy efficiency, footprint, and integration to ship overall design.

Responsibilities related to drawing approval, equipment, systems and related tests throughout the shipbuilding process

Coordinates inspections and input to the projects from in-house sources, site offices, architects and other consultants.

Responsible for coordinating and updating guidelines for electrical and electronic divisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating eventual modification within these areas with in-house architects
  • Support of specification preparation
  • Follow-up and reporting of building progresses
  • Apply relevant rules and regulations in the development of cruise ship design and building, including evaluation of new technology.
  • Participate approval processes for factory acceptance test (FAT) and quay and sea trial procedures.
  • Machinery, HVAC and cabin automation coordination
  • IT, safety and security systems design verification, coordination to ship overall design
  • Participate on FAT, inspections and sea and quay trials during building process
  • Follows and applies development in technology of above mentioned areas.
  • Ensures, that all innovations and Lessons Learned from existing fleet will be implemented on future Newbuilding projects and Revitalization projects.
  • Communicates with potential makers and systems designers
  • Close collaboration with architectural (internal / external), light and automation designers and consultants
  • Communicates with RCL fleet ships when found necessary

Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the scope of the project

Key skills & experience required:

  • Fluency in English
  • Computer literate
  • Experience from new building site surveys, especially from the own field of expertise
  • A long shipboard experience with proper technical skills
  • Experience of shipbuilding and design
  • Good skills to read drawings
  • Good skills for communication and co-operation
  • Knowledge of SOLAS and IMO

Qualifications:

Ideally 7 years plus of experience from the own field of expertise
