To support the growth of the Analytics, Automation, Optimization (AAO) program we are looking for an experienced professional to join our team in Paris. The Analytics, Automation, Optimization (AAO) strategy & analytics team’s mission is to shape and lead the transformation of the Sales & Trading desks into data-driven businesses, looking at all aspects from data to the use of AI & ML techniques. We also work closely with trading and risks managers to develop quantitative business monitoring and controls models.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a relatively new and fast-growing team where your contributions will make a difference, and where you will be exposed to a variety of senior stakeholders across Trading, Quantitative Research, Market Risks, Technology and Operations.

Your Impact:
You’ll contribute to the strategic agenda to transform our investment bank into a data-led business and drive change through innovation and business process optimization using state-of-the-art machine learning techniques. Specially, you’ll have the chance to:
- Manage a Data & Analytics book of work by monitoring progress, tracking resourcing, and measuring its impacts
- Shape the future state of the sales & trading organizations by identifying and importing industry best practices to JPMorgan
- Build or improve knowledge in Data, Analytics, AI/ML techniques by working with project managers and leads to address blockers and needs, and managing some projects directly
- Build or improve financial markets knowledge by building data & analytics solutions to serve our stakeholders needs, and keeping up to date on the activities and needs of that industry
- Contribute directly to the business and client franchise; identify and generate revenue opportunities
About You:
- You have an extensive experience of Project management and data analysis, with tangible results
- You are familiar or willing to learn how to use data analysis and visualization tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
- You are familiar or willing to learn how to code analytics and models in Python e.g., Pandas, SciPy, SkLearn
- You are data-driven and use data & analytics to inform, derive insights and influence decisions
- You are attentive to detail, easily adaptable and quickly grasp business concepts outside immediate area of expertise and adapt to rapidly changing business needs
- Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, can engage and influence partners and stakeholders; You are good at communicating concepts and ideas, also via documentation, and you are keen to defend their validity and tailor messages to different audiences
- You have strong interpersonal skills – you listen and communicate in a direct, succinct manner
- You think strategically and creatively when faced with problems and opportunities. You always look for new ways of doing things
Desirables:
- Graduate degree (BS or MS) in Business, Computer science or Mathematics
- Strong project management skills and analytical skills
- Results oriented, excellent communication, genuine interest in Data Analytics, AI, ML and financial markets
- Entrepreneurial spirit, strong attention to details, able to take the lead on projects, and passion for spreading a culture of change towards data-driven trading
