Job summary
The Coca-Cola Paris 2024 Olympics & Paralympics Human Resources lead serves as the primary contact and onsite support for all HR related activities for the Coca-Cola Paris 2024 core team and the 300+ venue operations field employees. This position reports to the Olympic & Paralympic General Manager and dotted line to the System HR legacy lead.
Representing both entities of our System – The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) and its bottler, Coca-Cola Europacific partner (CCEP) – she/he will work closely with the System HR network to deliver all HR services from Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Total Rewards and all Paris 2024 HR initiatives.
Speaking French and English is a must have in this role, located in Issy-les-Moulineaux – France, no relocation support provided. Fixed term contract until September 2024.
Main responsibilities*
The scope of work for the position includes, but is not limited to, the following;
- Provides support to the Coca-Cola Paris 2024 team in all areas of the Human Resources in collaboration with System local HR, center of excellences and integrated services
- Takes accountability for HR services delivery across client and drives a high-quality employee experience
- Implements and customizes System HR plans, programs, processes and tools to ensure Paris 2024 project’s needs are met while remaining compliant with internal System policies, local labor regulations and ICO / OCOG guidelines
- Steers the OPEX Paris 2024 budget and leverages HR data and insights when requested
- Defines and leads the staffing plan and process for the Venue Operations team (+300 employees), works with agencies for recruiting temporary staff
- Facilitates new hire onboarding process and coordinates relocation when needed
- Manages and directs administrative support staff in the execution of assigned jobs
- Defines and manages all services to be delivered to team during Games Time (e.g. transportation, accommodations, laundry, entertainment, rewards, project end celebration, uniforms, food, etc.)
- Develops and implements training programs for managers and employees including new hire orientation, specific job function training and professional training as it relates to the execution of the PAris 2024 programs – high emphasis on training for Venue Operations Staff
- Consults with management to establish and maintain performance standards including counseling and feedback, succession and salary planning, and determination of best operating practices for implementation
- Helps clients solve HR problems through diagnostic thinking, effective questions and creative thinking, connects relevant parties to resolve HR issues and adherence with HR policies
- Shares effectively project issues and progress to Coca-Cola Paris 2024 GM and System HR legacy lead
- Interacts and communicates effectively with local System legal and finance on complex HR matters (audit, mobility, C&B, etc.)
- Provides Employee Relations CoE with all needed information for Unions, work counsels and labor inspections
- With Project GM and System HR teams, develops and manages a project end re-deployment plan for all resources, bringing the project to a successful conclusion by November 2024 (inc. individual development plans and succession plans)
- Prepares an After Action Review for future teams
- Seizes opportunities that can deliver the greatest value and implements best practices in HR
- Builds credibility with clients by providing insight and mentorship on HR or broader business issues
- Understands the overall organizational structure and makes recommendations as business needs continue to evolve
- Builds up effective relationships with colleagues from TCCC CCEP and more widely with the worldwide System to build a strong team with potential legacies for next global sport events (e.g. CCH for Milan 2026, US bottlers for L.A 2028, etc.) but also to attract talents from previous events (e.g. Australia 2023, etc.)
- Stewards the System and Games culture, promotes an environment of openness and kindness

Key skills and experience required
- 6+ years in Human Resources, by preference experience in HRBP or HR Generalist roles in the sport industry or management of events
- Strong knowledge in a broad range of HR functional areas inc. hiring, training, coaching
- Knowledge of our System would be a strong plus
- Strong planning and organization skills, skilled in multi-tasking, high attention to detail
- Ability to excel in fast paced environment with strict timelines
- Pro-active worker, energy, initiative, coming with solutions together when flagging problems, with a flexible attitude to deal with changing priorities and multiple decision makers
- Good judgment and decision-making skills
- Willingness to learn, curious, import best practices and challenge the status quo
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing with all levels of employees and management across the System
- Ability to collaborate in a matrix environment and influence across levels, to deal with ambiguity and resolve conflicts
- Customer focus, ability to provide consistent and quality employee support
- High work hour flexibility required, including weekends
