Job Description
The Lead Solution Design will lead the user experience and product design of BDH solutions and will be in charge of all creative activities. He/She has an uncanny sense for clean design, is a fierce advocate for the user, and is committed to creating and delivering world-class user engagement.
The Lead Solution Design will oversee a team of design professionals and will collaborate closely with the products, the engineering & marketing teams to create innovative and engaging user experiences across all platforms and medias.
This is a Global role; interactions with internal and external stakeholders are expected daily in spoken and written English. The position is based in France.
User Experience design
• Deeply understand the reality of people living with diseases and the healthcare professionals supporting them (i.e. solution users)
• Closely collaborate with the user research team to fully understand the insights available and inform generation of additional insights to
drive implementation of research results to reduce user pain points
• Bring these insights/user needs together with principles of human behavior to design for motivation and engagement
Product design team
• Lead the creative strategy, holistic thinking and UX vision of BDH Solutions, and their translation into best-in-class product design
• Lead and manage a team of external designers: manage resources in the team and tools used by the team; foster an empowered and open culture where team members are encouraged to leverage each-others’ strengths; inspire the team to always challenge the status quo in the continuous drive for the optimal UX/UI
• Plan for evolutionary and iterative updates
Connect with Biogen stakeholders
• Collaborate with Product Leads, data analysts, user researchers, engineers, marketers, and operations throughout the product process, including discovery, testing and scoping to drive successful launches and iterations
• Collaborate with compliance, legal, data privacy and other departments that provide and help evolve the framework that guardrails solution development within the pharmaceutical industry
Design trends, methodologies UX evangelization
• Stay up to date on current trends in UX, product and design for work, collaboration, reporting and complex UI interactions
• Lead and establish best practices and design thinking / process – driving best digital experiences
• Lead the design team in an agile, fast-moving environment
• Acts as the owner of the user experience and promote Design Thinking throughout the organization
• Educate BDH on the latest design trends
Qualifications
• Master’s Degree (Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction or related field)
• 10+ years of experience in leading UX-UI Design
• 5+ years of experience managing or leading design teams
• Portfolio of UX-focused work samples for web and mobile applications
• Demonstrated experiences launching products, designing responsive cross channel services and applications, and delivering UX works within agile production
• International experience or Global Role.
• Fluent in English
• Fluency with design tools
• High need for prioritization and strong communication skills.
