Bozeman or Lewistown, Montana, JOB PURPOSE: This position is responsible for the advertising, marketing, and communications that drive awareness of and affinity for American Prairie. This role serves as the marketing lead on the utilization, education, access, and general awareness campaigns that increase awareness of American Prairie at the community, state, and national levels.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
Develop and deploy the American Prairie awareness marketing plan driving local, regional, and national awareness of the organization, our goals, and our programs.
Develop relevant and timely public communications and content to drive our programs and services in Montana and across the nation.
Manage internal and external creative resources to deliver impactful, efficient, and effective multi-channel marketing and advertising campaigns to the public.
Research awareness at the local and state level to identify and address awareness gaps and build support and affinity.
Serve as the marketing liaison to the National Discovery Center, External Relations, and Field Operations to support their programs in market, drive awareness and utilization of their services, and promote American Prairie at the local and national level.
Deploy the American Prairie retail strategy both in the NDC and through support of an online retail component including the development and sourcing of merchandise, advertising, signage, and measurable program metrics.
Manage all quick turn marketing requests as prioritized by the Marketing Project Manager including email, position statements, and fact sheets.
Represent the American Prairie brand and voice in all communications and marketing assets.
Write copy and develop content for campaigns and communications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or related field.
4+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, or communications.
Enthusiasm for and positive representation of American Prairie’s mission, values, goals, and culture.
Demonstrated marketing performance with knowledge of social media, online communications, traditional media-based marketing, and brand management.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate professionally at all levels including executive management
Ability to provide tactical execution necessary to leverage growth opportunities.
Ability to analyze marketing metrics and report on the impact on the business.
Strong project, time, and resource management and problem-solving skills to deliver projects on-time in a fast-paced environment
Motivated, creative, and organized self-starter with attention to detail.
Occasional travel, typically driving within Montana.
Valid Driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to drive.
Preferred
Knowledge, understanding and familiarity with the state of Montana.
