Job Purpose

Position based in São Paulo, with regular visits or contact with other cities and our site based in São Roque

Focusing efforts on the Architectural Aluminum and Alternative substrates powder coating application market.
Working in the Western Region market through interfacing and connecting with Architects, Specifiers, Contractors, and Project OEM accounts. Educating these groups through presentations and providing updates on new materials and refreshing knowledge on current technologies. Promoting AkzoNobel architectural products and new technologies that support this market segment.
Coordinating and communicating timely information from the Global and Regional Marketing teams through to regional stake holders.

Also assuming commercial responsibilities, in a limited geographical territory, for development and maintenance of architectural accounts. Communicate strategic sales plans to grow market share and sales revenue in the territory while maintaining business unit profitability goals



Key Accountabilities

  • Acquire technical and commercial knowledge on AAMA, Qualicoat, and GSB global performance specifications to present to architects.
  • Responsible for compiling and maintaining a portfolio of the architects, specifiers, architectural accounts, contractors, associations, suppliers, and support network for the architectural segment in the region.
  • Creating and maintaining a network of Architectural segment contacts through relationships. Identify, develop, educate and secure specification positions of top architectural accounts with short term high value project potential.
  • Responsible for tracking regional projects and quantifying values relating to powder coating in the region. Document in CRM all project leads and secured specifications.
  • Support Account Managers in the region with their Architectural segment accounts. Supporting through customer visits, education and communications.
  • Supporting Account Managers with communications with architects, specifiers and contractors associated with projects at their Architectural accounts.
  • Support Account Managers and Technical Service Representatives through communications on product updates and new technologies from Global and other North American regions.
  • Attending regional events and tradeshows that support the market segment.
  • Reporting activities, plans, and efforts to the Regional Manager and NA marketing team.
  • Communicating with colleagues in other regions that support the Architectural segment and relay the information back to the local region stakeholders.
  • Supporting key assigned accounts with commercial duties relating to architectural business. (See Commercial Duties)


Key Activities

  • Provide front line support for powder coating applications at strategic accounts.
  • Actively manager the Cost-to-Serve at each account.
  • Actively manage travel and expense budgets for the territory.
  • Use and management of Sales Force Automation Tools utilized by the business unit. (CRM)
  • Operate and practice according to AkzoNobel Code of Conduct.
  • Participate in the New Product Process through development of ideas and information to support new stage gat processes.
  • Manage working capital for the territory through active management of accounts receivables and inventory.


Experience & Requirements

Bachelor Degree, MBA would be a plus
Fluent English
Solid experience on commercial activities and technical support
Strong Knowledge on the segment and products
